2002 Toyota 4Runner.
214 k miles, no rust anywhere I can see, even the frame still has most of the factory coating. Dealer says it came out of Montana.
If I didn’t have a severe aversion to Toyota I would seriously consider it. He’s asking $4500 for it.

I would have to modify it for off-road use. Plenty of people here seem to like them.

If rust-free, that’s not a bad price.

If you really want to see people swoon, find a manual 3rd gen 4Runner.
That one looks clean and priced right, could get an extra $1k or 2 here in CO. Definitely not an ‘04 though, as the 4th gen started in 2003.

definitely not a 2004, the last year of that body style was 2002

I may have read the window sticker wrong.
Maybe dyslexia. Probably an 02 with 214k!

Probably dyslexia taking over. It’s probably an 02 with 214k not an 04 with 212k.

Still a decent rig, and looks great for those miles. Hopefully mine looks as good in 17 years.

I see about a dozen third-gens every day and I’m amazed how well they’ve held up. This was the de facto sorority girl car in the late 90s. Not so much anymore. Like the Miata, it starts out for chicks and migrates to dudes.

If you REALLY want to swoon then find a 2010 TRD Supercharged with the 6-speed, straight axle Dana 60, and with the diesel V8!!!

There’s a SAS 5th gen that’s at the ToyTec meet every year. Not sure of the rest of the mechanical details on it, though. It is pretty mean looking.

This is a vehicle I’d be fine sacrificing push button start for. I love the looks of these.
Very NP, even if it was RWD.

Nice, Sport model too. Early 3.4L had headgasket issues but after 97 or so they should be good.
That’s a nice runner, you could do good things with one like that.

Very nice. Where is this at? I spent a few weeks looking at 3rd gen 4Runners around me in NH, ME, and MA. Most were described as clean with no frame rust, all but 1 actually had holes rusted through the frames.
Mine looks a lot like this one and was another described as no frame rust, yet it has 3 holes through the frame that need to be repaired. If I had n’t just bought mine and put about $1200 into it, I’d gladly buy this one if it is actually clean. As it stands I’ll be looking in the desert states for one later this year and selling mine.

It’s in WI, but it came from Montana.
